Adventure Days!

Adventure days in Romania were filled with laughter and adventure (duh)! Adventure days on the World Race are our chance to either explore the city we are in or nearby places that are a bit more touristy. So, for my first adventure day I got the opportunity to visit Castelul Corvinilor, also known as Corvin Castle in Hunedoara, Romania. It was a beautiful castle constructed in 1440 that was originally meant to be a defense fortress against the Ottoman Empire. Apparently, Vlad the Impaler was imprisoned here at some point! It was an interesting sight and all I could imagine were the people and animals that once called this place home. We also had the chance to eat at a local restaurant and I got to enjoy a traditional plate of chicken schnitzel and rosemary potatoes! It was so yummy!

The next adventure day I chose to stay local and get a tattoo to mark this unique month in this amazing place. I was so blessed by this country even though it was a difficult month. The people I got to know here were warm and kind. Before coming to Romania I learned that Romania was known for their endless corn and sunflower fields. Getting this tattoo was an amazing experience and I am so pleased with how it turned out. Plus, it was quite the adventure!

I can’t wait to see what adventures I get into in the coming months and I can’t wait to take you all along with me!
